David Duerr is a founding partner of Focus Equity Partners and manages the firm’s day-to-day operations.

During his career, Mr. Duerr has been a successful entrepreneur, business leader, investor and board member in several profitable businesses:

Straight North, LLC, a Chicago-based digital marketing agency. To date, Straight North has acquired four companies: Duffy Design Works, Whoast, Word Sell and Ephricon. (Active investment)

ProStockHockey.com, LLC, a Chicago-based eCommerce website that purchases unused excess NHL hockey equipment and sticks from the various teams and resells the products to amateur hockey players online at www.prostockhockey.com. (Active investment)

GearGeek.com, LLC, The Complete hockey Equipment Database of the NHL that identifies, tracks and aggregates the equipment used by all NHL hockey players. The affiliate marketing website is the only independent, professional and comprehensive resource for accurate and real-time tracking of 5,000 + pieces of equipment used by over 800 NHL rostered players. (Active investment)

Officite, LLC, a full-service marketing company specializing in Internet-based solutions for the medical industry. (In November of 2012, Internet Brands acquired Officite.)

BOB, LLC d/b/a Business Only Broadband, BOB owned and operated the largest independent wireless broadband networks in Chicago, New York City and Milwaukee, providing fixed wireless broadband networks and Internet connectivity. (In October 2014, this business was acquired by Windstream)

C&M Pharmacy, LLC, a specialty pharmacy serving chronically ill patients requiring multiple complex pharmaceutical therapies for treating HIV/AIDS, severe mental illness, transplant and Hepatitis C. (In 2006, Walgreen Company acquired this business.)

Workspace, LLC, a full-service contract office furniture marketer and distributor. (In May 2001, Workspace was acquired by Office Depot, formally Boise Cascade Office Products.)

Code Red, LLC, a creative marketing company delivering turnkey direct mail marketing campaigns. (In May 2001, Code Red was acquired by Office Depot, formally Boise Cascade Office Products.)
